Warranty Coverage
Things of Metal and Wood is committed to creating custom furniture that meets your needs and exceeds your expectations. This Warranty is subject to Australian Consumer Law. Any benefits outlined within our warranty are subject to the Australian Consumer Law.
Timber Furniture:
Each timber component of our furniture comes with a 1-year limited warranty. This warranty covers the terms and conditions listed but does not include pick-up and delivery services.
Timber is a natural material that requires ongoing care and maintenance. Given our local climate, regular maintenance according to our care instructions is essential to preserve your furniture.
Aluminium and Steel Frames:
We offer a 3-year manufacturer's structural warranty on aluminium and steel furniture frames. This warranty covers any defects such as cracking of welds under normal use.
In the event of a manufacturing fault, you are entitled to a replacement or refund under the Australian Consumer Law.
Exclusions & Change of Mind:
Custom-made items are not eligible for returns or exchanges if you simply change your mind.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by the consumer, including scratches, scuffs, and dents, once the product has left our workshop.
The cost of repairs is covered; however, transport costs are excluded.
Natural variations in timber, including colour and texture differences, should be expected. These variations are not considered flaws and will not be covered by the warranty.
Environmental factors that cause changes or reactions in timber (such as exposure to sunlight or moisture) are not covered. Furniture should not be placed directly under air conditioning or heating vents.
Minor movement, warping, splits, or cracks in timber are part of the natural adjustment to the environment and do not compromise structural integrity.
Powder coating is designed as a decorative finish and does not provide corrosion protection on its own. Minor corrosion spots in less visible areas like under table-tops are not covered.
